Sharing our good practice with others
Swedish Teachers Visit Hinguar.
On 16th October we played host to a group of Swedish Early Years teachers from Stockholm who visited our school to find out how we use the outdoors to learn and learn outdoors. The teachers were impressed with our bottle greenhouse as they had not seen such an idea before. They were also very keen on how we have organised our Early Years outdoor provision.
Latvian Outdoor Project
The school participated in an International Outdoor Learning Project between several schools in Southend and school's in Latvia. This project, which was brokered by Southend Educational Trust focused on each school sharing their good outdoor learning practice, visiting each others' schools to learn from each other and develop training around Outdoor Learning. We all shared the aims of encouraging learning beyond the classroom walls and creatively using the outdoors to raise pupil attainment and achievement.
