Primary School & Nursery

What we Offer

Our 52 place nursery offers 15 hours of free morning and afternoon sessions for all 3 and 4 year olds with a maximum of 26 children attending per session for 38 weeks of the year.

We offer the following term time (38 weeks) sessions : (please see below for revised session times from September 2016)

Morning 08.50am - 11.50pm
Afternoon 12.30am - 3.30pm
Lunch time 11.50am - 12.30am

(As part of a full day or flexible provision.)

We also offer lunch for children as part of a full day or half day provision up to a maximum of 15 children.  Children can bring in their own packed lunch or buy a hot dinner from school. 

Additional payable sessions are available on request and subject to availability.  This applies until they reach compulsory school age (the term following their fifth birthday).

Situated on the edge of Gunners Park with sea views and an outdoor play deck.We have a high level of security with controlled access to all doors. We also offer our own kitchen and cooking facilities and have our own Interactive Whiteboard.

The main school site has extensive grounds and shares with the Nursery:

  • An amphitheatre.
  • A natural pond.
  • A natural meadow area.
  • A heated outdoor swimming pool

At Hinguar Nursery we recognise that each child is unique and develops and learns through interaction with positive relationships and enabling environments.  We therefore offer:

  • A genuine commitment to provide each child with the best possible start with their education through learning and playing with other children.
  • A purpose built safe & secure environment.
  • Caring and highly qualified experienced staff that are dedicated early years foundation stage practitioners.
  • Excellent indoor and outdoor learning opportunities including a large play deck area and full use of the secure grounds.

From September 2016:

In September there will be some slight changes to the session times of the nursery.  This will ensure a smoother transition of children arriving and departing nursery.
